Music Ministry
According to Psalm 150, if we have breath, we qualify as a worshiper of the Father. There is nothing more important we do as Christians other than worship. As a matter of fact, worship is the only thing we do on earth that we will also do in Heaven. We are commanded to “sing a new song to the Lord.” It is not an option but rather a requirement from our Lord, and our overflow of satisfaction in Him will bring that about. Worship, however, is much more than music. Although God is honored in musical worship and even requires it, music is only a small fraction of worship. In Romans 12, we are commanded to present our bodies as living sacrifices as our spiritual act of worship. The word act implies that worship is an action. In other words, it is a lifestyle. To worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23), we must allow the words that we sing to be reflections of our lives because in the words of Ecclesiastes, it is better not to make a vow than to make a vow & not pay. Worship is a lifestyle.
